4-Week Pottery Wheel Foundations

Description

Our 4-Week Pottery Wheel Foundations course welcomes beginners and returning students alike, guiding you through the whole arc of the pottery-making process, from your first time centering clay to a finished body of work you glaze yourself.

Each week builds on the last, so you leave with real skills, not just a few pots.

Week 1 introduces you to the wheel: centering clay and throwing your first forms.
Week 2 brings you back to trim and refine your dried pieces, then throw again.
Week 3 introduces handbuilding techniques and handle-making alongside trimming, expanding what you can build and how you think about form.
Week 4 is glazing, where your pieces find their colour and character. You'll choose from our twelve beautiful studio glazes before your work heads into the kiln.

Our instructors guide you at every step, so you're supported whether it's your first time at the wheel or finding your way back to it.

All clay, tools, glazes, and firings are included.

We provide unlimited clay throughout the course, and you may select five pieces for firing.

Our 4-week classes follow a structured, iterative schedule where each session builds on the last.

Please ensure you're able to attend all four sessions before registering.
